There is nothing to sign up for. If you turn on storm notifications, the push token is the whole of the identity.

Location

Storm notifications need a point to measure from. It is rounded to about 1.1 kilometres before it is stored, and no history of it is kept. Turn notifications off and it is deleted.

How long

Sent alerts are kept for 24 hours, so a notification you missed is not a storm you lost. A device we have not heard from in 30 days is dropped and everything held for it goes with it.

Who else sees it

Apple, to deliver the notification. Nobody else. No analytics, in the app or on this site.
